Concerts in the Park - Anoka

Concerts in the Park
Join us on Sunday evenings for Concerts in the Park presented by the City of Anoka. Concerts are FREE!  All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and last approximately 1 hour.

Concerts are held in George Green Park at the Bicentennial Band Shell located in the southwest corner of the park.  (George Green Park is adjacent to the Anoka Aquatic Center). There is a small parking lot located on Sixth Avenue with ample on-street parking available surrounding the park on South Street and Sixth Avenue.   Click here for a Google map/directions to George Green Park, 1498 Sixth Avenue, Anoka, MN  55303.
Concerts are weather permitting. We are unable to reschedule shows canceled due to weather. 

Grab your blanket or lawn chair, family and friends, and plan to spend your evening among the picturesque oak trees at George Green Park, as you enjoy a variety of local and metro area musicians.

It will start near the festival site at Noble Sports Park on Regent Ave N just north of the Hwy 610 bridge, go north on Regent Ave N, turn west on 101st Ave N and end at Xenia Ave N (approximately 1 mile).

Daily demonstrations and educational seminars. The expo is laid out over 65 acres of beautiful wooded trails and is a complete outdoor event. The walk through the expo itself is a great outdoor experience.

Treat Mom to lunch and paddle on Silver Lake for Mother?s Day.  This is for everyone, so bring grandma, grandpa, the kids, or grandchildren.  The whole family will learn to paddle a kayak around the lake and get up close to nature, feel a sense of adventure, or just relax and enjoy the day.  Afterwards we will cook up a picnic lunch using a campfire and Dutch oven to make a fun and creative lunchtime menu.  This event includes:  introduction to kayaking, paddling basics, and safety overview, plus kayaks, paddles, life vests, and lunch.  Wear shoes that can get wet and dress in layers for time on the water.

Brickmania Open House

The Brickmania Toyworks is located in a repurposed warehouse the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis arts district. In addition to being the headquarters for Brickmania LLC, we are also the permanent host for the displays of the Greater Midwest Lego Train Club and Twin Cities Lego Train Club.

OPEN HOUSE

The open house features two large, running train displays and an always changing selection of guest displays. We also have a play area with bricks for building, a race car ramp, and other creative activities. Of course we also have a small store featuring a wide range of Lego products (from vintage to recent) and custom products from Brickmania, BrickArms and more.
